Where are you located?
300 North Main Street, Minster, Ohio 45865. We are 11.3 miles west of I-75, Take the Ohio 119 Exit 99 Anna / Minster Ohio and head WEST 11.3 miles. Take a right heading North at the first stop light in Minster, go north 1/2 mile and you will find us on the right hand side of the road at the intersection of Seventh and Main Street.
How long has Hausfeld Motor Sales been in business?
Since 1947 we have been locally owned and operated by the Hausfeld family.
Are all of your cars for sale?
Yes, all of our vehicles are for sale. We sell, buy, and trade.
Are your cars inspected / serviced?
Yes, all of our cars go through a very detailed and meticulous vehicle inspection process that surpasses the most stringent requirements. We strive to service our customer’s needs and attribute our success to delivering only the best to them. In practical terms, this means that we personally hand select every vehicle that we purchase. If we wouldn't drive a vehicle as our own, we won't buy it to put on our lot to sell to you. Every vehicle goes through a rigorous inspection and is judges under a "NO COMPROMISE" attitude before being allowed onto our lot. Does Hausfeld Motor Sales take trade-ins?
Yes, we do accept quality vehicles for trades.
What is my trade-in worth?
Unfortunately we cannot quote prices for cars we have not physically taken a look at. It would be a disadvantage to us and to you if we quoted a "ballpark" price to a vehicle sight un-seen. The best way for you to get a fair assessment of your vehicle’s worth would be for you to fill out the Value My Trade form on the website, and then bring the vehicle by our Minster, Ohio location so we can look at your trade.
Does Hausfeld Motors provide auto financing?
Yes, we work a streamline of different auto lenders that work with Prime and Sub prime credit for both personal and commercial vehicle purchases.
Can I fill out an online credit application and get approved for financing on your website?
In a word, NO. We have several finance options available thru different lending institutions and would appreciate the opportunity to talk with you and work with you on what option and what auto loan is right for you. Call us old fashion, we are very proud of our website, but we still believe when your buying something as important as a car, we want to deal with the finance aspect face to face, not virtually thru a website.
Will I be required to have a down payment for the purchase of my auto?
Down payments, if required, usually are 10% or $1,000 whichever is lower, again every situation is different. Your present credit standing will determine the need for a down payment. It is always wise to be prepared to have a down payment, and then be pleasantly surprised when one is not required when finalizing your auto financing.
I have less then perfect credit and need second chance auto financing. Can Hausfeld Motors help?

Once I submit my auto loan application in person at Hausfeld Motor Sales, how long should it take for a representative to contact me?
It depends on the speed of the lending institution. In many cases we can have a decision in several minutes, other times it may take up to one business day. You can also call us at (419) 628-2914 to get the status on your credit application.
What paperwork will be required from me in order for the banks to finalize my auto loan?
1. W2 computerized pay stub less than 30 days old.
2. For self employed individuals: Will need last 3 months bank statements. Some lenders will ask you to provide your complete federal tax returns (1040's) for the last 2 years, including all schedules and signatures.
3. For retired individuals: Provide a pension statement (1099) or Social Security Statement (1099) for the last year or a current year award letter showing pension or retirement income.
4. Five Complete References (name, address, and phone number)
5. Valid Drivers License
6. Proof of residence (any bill / utility statement in your name EXCEPT cell phone bills).
Do you speak any other languages other than English?

Do we buy cars for cash from private parties?
Sometimes, but only late model vehicles apply. All we ask is for 24 hours notice if you want to bring your vehicle by for a test drive and appraisal. Once you bring your car in, our buyer will take it on a test drive; run a CARFAX Vehicle History Report. The vehicle will then go through a rigorous inspection including putting the vehicle up on the rack so our service technicians can assess the frame / under carriage and various mechanical and electrical systems. What do I have to do to test drive a car?
We are in the business to put serious buyers behind the wheel of one of our cars. If you like a car from our inventory, we'll do what we can to make it yours. If you know you'll be in our area and would like us to have a vehicle ready for a test drive, just give us a call at (419) 628-2914.
Can I have the car that I'm interested in inspected by my own mechanic prior to purchase?
Yes, only at your own expense can you bring in your own personal mechanic or take the vehicle off the premises. We encourage buyers to use an inspection service close to our area or a local recognized franchise auto dealership.
What is Hausfeld Motors doing to "Go Green"?
For decades now Hausfeld Motors has recycled all used motor oil; now days it is collected and used to heat a building; also in the past several years all of our lot lighting and exterior building wall packs have been replaced from old style halogen fixtures to new state of the art PULSE START metal halide fixtures; all controlled electronically by timers and or photocell. In addition to our lot lighting, the interior of our building is lit with florescent lighting, all of our computers utilize LCD monitors; even our waiting room TV is an energy star certified LCD TV.
